St. Luke's Growing In Faith Capital Campaigns

A time to break down and a time to build up - Ecclesiastes 3:3

Dear Members of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church,

We are about to embark on an ambitious and exciting plan to expand our ministries and upgrade our facilities.  In order to accomplish the goals that have been set, we will conduct two three-year campaigns called Growing in Faith. 

The Growing in Faith Capital Campaigns will help St. Luke’s achieve our vision:

St. Luke's is committed to knowing Christ and making Christ known.   We strive to develop a Christian community that invites and values all people, that nurtures growth with God and each other, and that encourages openness, acceptance, trust, and service to God and God's community.

St. Luke's has a strong history of distinctive ministries and growth.  We have been considered a model for other congregations because of our ministries and the attractiveness of our facilities.  As we continue Growing in Faith, we will build on this foundation of excellence.

Now it is your chance to learn more about Growing in Faith.   As you read through this packet, please prayerfully consider how your pledge will help grow the ministries of St. Luke’s.  We are asking all our members to make a pledge for the first 2008-2011 campaign in addition to their regular intention to give in support of our annual spending plans.   Our goal is 1.75 million dollars to begin the first phase of the building project.

Together, we can reach our goals.  At the conclusion of the second Growing in Faith Capital Campaign (2011 – 2014) St. Luke’s will mark 100 years of ministry in Park Ridge.  We give thanks to God for those who have gone before us, growing in faith to bring us to where we are in 2008.  We give glory to God as we dedicate ourselves toward future generations who will grow in faith at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
