The Member Care Cabinet provides opportunities for St. Luke's members to share God's love and to express their faith by ministering to and supporting each other in daily life.

Members of the Member Care Cabinet:
  Sara Carolan, chair
  Christine Fleming
  Tim McCurry
  Pastor Mac Minnick
  Nancy Olson
  Kim Schaeffer
  Pastor Kristi Weber

►  Areas which are encompassed under the Member Care Cabinet:

Flower delivery: Iris Henderson (847/823-1828) develops a schedule of volunteers who deliver the altar flowers to members who are hospitalized, in nursing homes or who are confined to their homes. She also sees that the Easter lilies and Pentecost geraniums are delivered to many people following those special services. I'm sure she would be happy to have additional flower delivery people.

Prayer Chain: Prayer requests may be made through the pastors or Nancy Olson.  Marianne Griebler (847/698-1965) sends out the prayer requests to other members of the prayer chain. If you are interested in joining the prayer chain to pray for others please contact Nancy.

Prayer Card Ministry
This ministry is accomplished by those whose creative bent is making greeting cards. These cards are sent to members of the congregation who are ill, who have lost a loved one, or to let people know that our congregation is thinking about them. Anyone is invited to join the group. For more information contact Sue Laursen-Yee (email) , Naomi Goll (847)823-8487, or Amy Burrows

Prayer Shawl Makers:
Anyone who knits or crochets is invited to make a prayer shawl to be given to a member in need of special prayer. This may include someone who is hospitalized or recovering from an illness, a shut-in, or at the time of baptisms or graduations. Kits with yarn are available at church for anyone who is interested in knitting or crocheting a prayer shawl. Please contact BethAnn Lynch at 847-698-9783 or  for directions to make these lovely gifts.

Prayer Shawl Ministry Gathering
The Prayer Shawl gatherings are scheduled for 7:00 in the evening on the third Tuesday of each month except for June through August and December. Thanks to all who have provided prayer shawls. Over 225 shawls have been made and delivered. MANY THANKS!!
