The
Music Ministry
at St. Luke's provides an opportunity for people of all ages
to share their musical gifts in the worship life of the
congregation. From the Cherub Choir through the Junior,
Youth, and Adult Choirs, there is a place for everyone. In
addition to the regularly scheduled choirs, there are
opportunities to sing/play on a short term basis in a
variety of ensembles throughout the year. All choirs welcome
new members with joy and thanksgiving!

Cherub Choir
Kindergarten-2nd graders are invited to sing in the Cherub
Choir. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 4:30-5:10 PM. The
Cherub Choir leads in worship every 3-4 weeks. Come and
sing, play rhythm instruments and musical games and share

Junior Choir
All 3rd-6th grade singers are
welcome to join Junior Choir. This choir leads the
congregation in worship every 3-4 weeks. Rehearsals are on

Orff Ensemble If
you are in 3rd-6th grade and like to play Orff and other
rhythm instruments, come join the Orff Ensemble. Rehearsals

Youth Choir All 7th-12th grade
singers are invited! Come and add your voice to this
wonderful group of talented young musicians. The choir
rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-8:00 pm, and sings
twice per month, alternating between the 8:30 and 11:00 am

Chancel Choir The
Chancel Choir welcomes all adult singers to rehearsals on
Thursdays from 7:45-9:15 pm. The choir sings primarily at
11:00 am services on Sundays, with an occasional 8:30 am
service for variety, and is off generally one Sunday per

Sanctuary Choir The Sanctuary
Choir provides an opportunity for busy adults to sing in a
choir without a mid-week rehearsal. This group sings for the
8:30 am service two Sundays per month, and rehearses between
services on the Sundays that they sing. For

Celebration Ringers This
premier handbell choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings from
8:00-9:00 pm, and plays in worship once per month. If you
are interested in playing or as serving as a substitute,

Spirit Ringers This
entry level (no previous experience necessary!) handbell
choir rehearses on Thursdays from 7:00-7:45 pm. If you are

St. Luke's Fiddlers
String players of all ages are
invited to play in this ensemble, which practices

welcomes youth and adult recorder players. The group

Camp Allegro
This summer’s Camp
Allegro will be held June 14-18, 2010 (M-F) from 9:00 AM-
noon at St. Luke’s. Our theme is Oh Jonah! and
will be a musical, which will be presented at a worship
service on Thursday, June 17 at 7:00 PM. The camp is for
children entering Kgtn - 6th grade in the fall of 2010. Cost
is $50.00/child, $120.00/family. We will prepare the
musical, learn from special guests, make crafts, play games
and share in a service project. On Friday morning we will
share our musical with residents of St. Matthew’s Center for
Health in Park Ridge.
