Serving Our Sunday Night Guests

Each Sunday evening between Labor Day and Memorial Day, St. Luke’s Church opens its doors to feed those who have difficulty providing enough food for themselves and their families. Please consider volunteering for the 2017-2018 Season.  Join your friends. Sign Up Online

Under the auspices of the Park Ridge Ministerial Association, A hot meal is provided by one of 19 participating congregations or civic organizations.  The organization brings food for 100 people and approximately 12 volunteers to serve the guests and to clean up after the supper.  The guests are provided with take home contains for any remaining food.

In addition to taking its turn at preparing and serving the meals, over 70 St. Luke’s members provide the administration, hosts and hostesses, musical entertainment, table decorations, publicity, supplies and maintenance for the program.

Whole Foods Market gives loaves of bread for the guests to take home and the South Park Cleaners launders all of the table clothes.

Janet Hoiberg, Gail Larson, Cindy Nommensen and Cindy Spiegel are always happy to welcome any who may wish to give of their time to this effort. Please read Janet Hoiberg’s Story and consider volunteering for the 2017-2018 season. Join your friends. Sign Up Online.
