Baptisms and Weddings

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

If you wish to contact St. Luke’s Lutheran Church regarding a wedding or baptism for members of your family, please consider the following policies and practices regarding these rites of the church:

Baptisms: The Sacrament of Holy Baptism is always celebrated during the worship services of the church. Please contact one of the pastors to inquire about pre-baptism preparation for adults and teens or for parents of infants and children at least a month in advance.

Weddings:

If you are already part of the St. Luke’s worshipping community, you probably already know that St. Luke’s is the place where you want to continue to nurture your faith life as individuals and now as a couple. Please contact one of the pastors to begin making plans for your wedding worship service at lease six months in advance.

If you have been away for many years or are new to St. Luke’s, we ask that you come to worship and get to know this particular community of Lutheran Christians who are part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. After worship, introduce yourself to one of the pastors.  Then you can make an appointment to meet with a pastor to talk about how you see your Christian faith as part of the life you share with each other in your marriage and how St. Luke’s might become the place where you continue to nurture your faith life as individuals and as a couple.

If you are a couple coming from two different faith traditions, you are welcome at St. Luke’s. Please make an appointment to talk with one of the pastors about your faith and life together and how St. Luke’s might be part of that conversation.
