Meet the Staff of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church:

Rev. Lorenz (Larry) Lutey

Rev. Lorenz (Larry) Lutey

The Rev. Lorenz W. (Larry) Lutey – Lead Pastor begins his ministry at St. Luke’s on April 1, 2013. He has spent nearly twenty-seven years in the ministry, served most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan,  Prior to that, he served as Vice President, Human Resources, of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. Pastor Lutey graduated from Concordia University and served as Director of Christian Ministry at a congregation in Indianapolis. He then attended and graduated from Wartburg Seminary. Following his ordination in 1986, he served churches in Park Forest, Berkeley and Chicago before joining LSSI. In addition to his degrees from Concordia and Wartburg, Pastor Lutey has a Master of Science in HR Management from National Louis University, where he has also served as an adjunct faculty member. In his work with social services, his special interests were health care for the working poor, serving people with disabilities and seeking social justice. He serves as a Trustee of the ELCA Mission Investment Fund. Pastor Lutey and his wife, Shari, live in Wheaton. They have three adult daughters who live in Wheaton, Denver and Palatine. Rev. Kristina Weber

The Rev. Kristina C. Weber - Associate Pastor began her ministry with St. Luke’s in January 2006. She is called to pastoral ministry with particular attention to member care, education, and congregational life. Her responsibilities include leading worship, preaching, teaching, visitation, and working with the congregation to plan fellowship opportunities and events. Pastor Weber was ordained in 1997. She has served congregations several Minnesota communities: Toivola and Meadowlands, Chanhassen, Crystal, and St. Louis Park. She is a graduate of St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota (B.A.), and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, Berkeley, California (M.Div.). Pastor Weber is married to Rev. Anne Krentz Organ

Anne Krentz Organ serves as the Director of Music Ministries at St. Luke’s. Her responsibilities include worship planning, service playing, and the direction of the choral and instrumental music program which includes adult, youth, and children’s choirs, handbell choirs, and a variety of instrumental ensembles. Anne holds degrees from Valparaiso University, the University of Illinois, and Concordia University at River Forest, IL. Her compositions are published by Abingdon Press, Augsburg Fortress, and Concordia Publishing House. Anne and her husband Jim are the parents of three boys; Andrew, Daniel, and Paul. Melinda Ramseth Hoiland

Melinda Ramseth Hoiland is Director of Children’s Music and Education Ministry at St. Luke’s.  She directs the Cherub Choir (K-2nd), Junior Choir (3rd-6th), Orff Ensemble (3rd-6th), Flute Choir and Recorder Consort for youth and adults, and Camp Allegro, a week-long music day camp held at the church each summer.  She also coordinates children’s education (pre-Kindergarten through 5th Grade), recruits and trains volunteers and teachers, and organizes education and fellowship opportunities for children and families in order to encourage and nurture children to grow in their faith and serve God in a variety of ways. Melinda holds a B.A. in Music Education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN and a M.A. in Music Education with an emphasis in Orff-Schulwerk from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. She also teaches private flute lessons and performs in the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra.  Melinda and her husband, Joel, have three grown children – Kiersten, Daniel and Britta. Jade Gandrud

Jade Gandrud

Jade Gandrud is Director of Youth Ministries
At St. Luke’s Jade coordinates programs and events for the 6-12th grade youth.  These events include ELCA Youth Gatherings, Mission Events, service projects, mission trips, and other opportunities for fellowship and learning to grow in faith while serving others both locally and globally.  Along with coordinating events, Jade advises and helps to develop education curriculums and programming for all ages. Jade graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN with a B.A. in Psychology.  Currently she is working on her M.A. in Theological Studies at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago.  Her interests in theology range from science and religion and inter-religious dialogue to the use of art as a means to express God’s divine mystery in the world.
