Three Park Ridge congregations are walking together this fall to call for peace in the wake of so much violence around the world. Walkers will gather at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and walk to First UMC and then Park Ridge Community Church before returning to St. Luke’s, pausing for a brief devotion as they arrive at each church. Candles and signs will be provided to everyone on arrival. The group will sing simple a cappella songs and quiet chants along the way. This is an apolitical gathering, so we ask that no partisan signs be displayed; a calm, peaceful spirit will define the hour. People of any faith, or none, are welcome to walk with the group.
