FROM THE PASTOR
Take it to Heart
Dear church,
Some texts don’t just speak to us, they hold us.
Psalm 121 is one of those psalms for me, a prayer that has steadied countless hearts across the centuries.
If you are looking for a simple practice this week, I wonder if you might take these days to commit it to memory, or simply to read it once each day, slowly, letting the promise sink in.
I lift up my eyes to the hills;
from where is my help to come?
My help comes from the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth.
The Lord will not let your foot be moved
nor will the one who watches over you fall asleep.
Behold, the keeper of Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep;
the Lord watches over you;
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will preserve you from all evil
and will keep your life.
The Lord will watch over your going out and your coming in,
from this time forth forevermore.
See you in worship,
Pastor Kyle
